Skye Tao is a New York–based photographer and creative whose work spans fashion, still life, branded content, and visual storytelling. With a background in both photography and fashion management, she approaches image-making through a combination of strong visual direction, cultural research, and an understanding of brand identity.

She holds an MPS in Fashion Management from Parsons School of Design and a BFA in Photography from Emily Carr University of Art + Design. Her professional experience includes brand and e-commerce photography, fashion campaigns, events, creative production, and visual content development, with a particular interest in working with fashion, lifestyle, and culturally driven brands.

Alongside her commercial practice, Skye maintains an independent artistic practice exploring culture, memory, objects, and perception through photography and surreal composition. Her work has been presented on the Arbutus Greenway Billboards through the City of Vancouver’s Launch Pad program and exhibited at venues including Access Gallery and Centre A.

She was the winner of the “Things” category in the 2022 Booooooom Photo Awards, received an Honorable Mention for the Chick Rice Award for Excellence in Photography, and was shortlisted for the Booooooom x Capture Photography Festival Public Art program in 2023 and 2024. Her work has appeared in BROAD Magazine, Booooooom, F-Stop Magazine, Sixth Finch, and PhotoED Magazine.
